The ARB PLEASE! service is currently undergoing maintainance and is not available. We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

ARB PLEASE! - Probe Library and Evaluation System

ARB PLEASE! is a GUI based application which helps you select and evaluate phylogenetic rRNA-targeted oligonucleotide probes on group or organism specificity levels. PLEASE! includes two client components, the Probetree-Client (former ARB Probe Library) and the ProbeMatch-Client (similar to ARB-PMO).

ARB PLEASE! requires at least SUN Java 1.6 Runtime Environment and internet access. It uses Java Webstart technologies to run without any local installation (which nevertheless is possible). If you are behind a firewall you may have to use a proxy to make the client work.

ARB PLEASE! should be considered beta. Bug reports are welcome. The access is password protected (user: guest / pw: PLEASE!)

ARB-PMO - Probe Match Online

The ARB Probe Match Online service helps you to evaluate the specificity of oligonucleotide probes targeted to ribosomal RNA (rRNA) or oligonucleotide signatures against several large curated collections of small and large subunit ribosomal RNA sequences, such as ARB, ARB-SILVA or GREENGENES databases in silico. You can perform exact as well as inexact sequence searches in the database of your choice.

ARB-PMO has no special hardware requirements and should work on any newer OS.
